This fantasy has an amazing, unique magic system and an inspiring powerful FMC. Great narration too, would highly recommend.

Ah, I’ve been eagerly awaiting an audiobook for this series, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint! The story is great, and the narrators both did a fantastic job! Looking forward to listening to the next in the series once it comes out.

A true enemy’s to lovers story which at times honestly feels a bit uncomfortable which is why I took 1 star off the story. I’m just not sure how I feel about knowing they are most likely going to end up together after everything he does.
Having said that, the writing and complexity of the characters was refreshing after reading a slew of very cringy Romantaseys recently. Thank you for stepping away from the crowd and writing a book that is not full of internalised misogyny.

Best of the genre I’ve read in a while!

I've now re read/ listened to this probably more than I can count. The enemies are truly enemies and it is the BEST kind of slow burn. Rooke has out ranked any FMC I have ever came across and I doubt any other will be able to come close.
