The story is adventurous enough and an easy read but I don't like the flying boats...
And life goes all too easy for Yaz.

Familiar but not trope-y

I listened to the whole thing in just 3 days. The characters are interesting and I enjyed getting to know them. There are suffficient twists and events in the story to keep things moving at a good pace.
I read and listen to a lot of fantasy, and this could be good.

My only problem is, this episode was free, so no problem, but the story is cut into 5 or 6 hour segments, which will make the author more money but is very expensive compared to other stories withing this genre that are 14+ hours long.
Won't be buying any more.

story was easy to listen but you really have to pay attention to the story to know who is speaking since the reader reads everyone almost exactly the same. reader has pleasant voice but small variations between characters would be much appreciated.
