I remember Campion from my childhood. The story is a bit dated now with the slang of the time, but in essence it could be brought up to date into a good television production.

I wish they had the Francis Matthews version. The strange squeaky voice given to Campion meant I had to grit my teeth for several chapters before I could ignore it and concentrate on the story.
