Most relevant
The characters’ names take some getting used to and mean some repeat listening trying to pick up the thread. Took a book or so to get into the series.
The characters are ok but Mary the hero’s wife is made into a weak, screeching frightened loon by the very high pitched voice assigned. Not the partner of the hero imagined. Similarly, at times the hero’s voice grates as does the shouting of the songs.
Haven’t enjoyed this series as much as the Archer and warlord series.
