Summary

In a near-future America reeling from corruption, censorship, and a broken federal system, one state dares to reclaim its soul—Texas. When a devastating false flag operation shatters the public’s trust, a diverse group of patriots, politicians, veterans, and everyday Texans must decide: submit… or rise.

Follow Ethan Jacobs, a principled war hero turned political outsider, and Bo Ramsey, a no-nonsense rancher with deep Texas roots, as they navigate betrayal, media manipulation, and rising tensions. With support from unlikely international allies and faith as their compass, they ignite a peaceful revolution that shakes the foundations of global power.

Packed with gripping action, sharp political insight, and moments of gritty humor, Texpendence is more than a political thriller—it’s a rally cry for liberty, legacy, and standing firm when the world demands silence. Perfect for fans of Tom Clancy, Joel C. Rosenberg, and political fiction with a spine of steel.

I rarely read/listen to novels and purchased Texpendence totally unaware of the plot after seeing narrator Tim Gulan’s Insta post about all the voices he did for this performance. He’s brilliant as Knightley in Emma the Musical, a show I constantly have on repeat to distract me from the current war situations with Russia etc including the fact that if there’s a blackout, my now-digital landline won’t work (UK) - so it is ironic (and maybe even supernatural) that this, Gulan’s only other full project available in UK, turns out to cover the use of an analogue landline when being attacked by Russia! Rather than freak me out further, the often poetic writing plus dynamic narration calm and strengthen me. Whatever happens in the rest of the story, and the world situation, I am captivated by the multi-layered aptness and, of course, all the accents!

I hope the Kindle book comes to UK, because there are a few bits I don’t get and need to check / look back at.

Amazingly apt, but wish Kindle was available too in UK
