About this listen
Winter 1847, the Star of the Sea sets sail from Ireland for New York. Among the refugees are a maidservant, bankrupt Lord Merridith, an aspiring novelist and a maker of revolutionary ballads. Each is connected more deeply than they know.

What made the experience of listening to Star of the Sea the most enjoyable?
I loved the different use of language in list book. Extensive characters of different classes all reanacted by Peter Marinker so well!Who was your favorite character and why?
Meridith - he's a character to love and hate, feel sorry and regret for as well as despise!Which character – as performed by Peter Marinker – was your favourite?
Definitely Merideth, he gave the character depthDid you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No but it made me think a lot.Any additional comments?
This book does move around a lot cutting from one storyline/group of characters, to another. The through line is not always as clear as I would have liked, but it is throughly enjoyable and very interesting.Wonderfully read journey to the US
