This is simply a excellent set of books I first came across Frank in a Necessary Evil and loved it he has become one of my favourite characters. So I had to hear his back story and was not disappointed. the story and humor is spot on. in these 3 books Frank is learning and homing in on all he supernatural abilities. these books take us from the streets of London to the depths of hell & a rather dangerous encounter with death himself. This supernatural pulp fiction style detective comedy thriller is a must for anybody.

I enjoyed these three stories. wasn't too sure about the narration but it suited the storyline perfectly, especially the Orwellian part three.
Different enough to Harry Dresden etc. to be worth a listen.

A really enjoyable listen that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Some great plot ideas and great fight scenes with an MC overflowing with charm and sarcasm.
Really well narrated, Mark pulls off the atmosphere and voices really well (although a couple of the peripheral characters sound a little Horrid Henry.
All in all, definitely worth the listen!

I am a huge fan of all the Uncanny series! You fall a little in love with each of the characters along with all their weird & wonderful personalities. Stuffed with humour, sarcasm, thrills & spills. Jake the spectral detective has some great hairy moments trying to solve horrible murders & trying to gain brownie points to stop him from being sent to hell for eternity!
