Summary

As an illegitimate daughter of a French noble, Evangeline Avenes is sent to live at a secretive estate in the Blue Moutains of Jamaica. On route with her mother, and another child passenger, Alessio Draven, their ship is attacked by pirates. When pirate lord, Captain Pyke, shoots and kills her mother, Evangeline's life is forever altered.

Taken to Leighton Hall by Alessio's aunt, Jane Bancroft, the two grow up together. Jane Bancroft is using Leighton Hall to auction off the virginal daughter's of royalty to the highest bidder. As Evangeline and Alessio's connection to each other grows, Jane has other plans for the star-crossed lovers.
