About this listen

The epic novel of action, conspiracy and suspense from best-selling storyteller Robyn Young.

From the bloody battlefields of the Wars of the Roses to the court of the Tudors and the dawn of a new world comes Jack Vaughan: bastard son, mercenary soldier and now the king's trusted man at a time when many choose a path of deception and conspiracy....

It's 1483. The king is dead, two young princes are imprisoned in a tower and England is threatened again with the bloody chaos of the War of the Roses. All over Europe dynasties rise, and violence and cunning rule. Constantinople has fallen and cut the trade routes to the East.

In an age of exploration and navigation, eyes are turning to other directions. New lands will be discovered, and nations and factions will fight to carve the world up among themselves, careless of the human cost.

Sons of the Blood is a standalone epic of sweeping history and mysterious secrets, blood feuds and betrayal, and Jack Vaughan is a lead character that readers will be desperate to follow into the tempestuous future of the series.

Robyn has weaved another thread to the myth of Richard lll with twists and turns that has become part of her Trade-mark which was enhanced by the story telling
One criticism as always I wish the teller would check the pronunciation of names such as Scroop etc it's my problem I know but I do find it annoying when place names and surnames are mispronounced names
