This is a fine backstory introduction that shows how the three handsome gargoyles found their way into Vamps, the famous bar in the Underground Encounters series.

Some paranormal romances are very easy to read/listen to, some are not. I found this one fell into the easy to listen to category and it kept my interest peaked right from the start. It is not full of hardcore sex scenes on virtually every other page (like some) but is a more fun and easy going story, with enough going on to make it a worthy paranormal romance contender. The only downside I found was the narrator, who did a reasonable job, but when reading the thoughts of the french character did so with her normal accent yet when reading his dialogue she did it with a French accent, so you were never sure which character she was portraying.
Overall a very enjoyable story and just long enough to get me through the housework! 😂

This book is well written and narrated. This is the first book in the series. I was intrigued and fascinated by the storyline. This story has action, adventure, suspense, intrigue and romance.
The narrator does a fantastic job with the characters and voices of each which makes it easy to distinguish between the characters. She places the right amount of emotions into the characters. I will definitely look for more books with this narrator.
