As a project manager myself this gem has come along just at the right time and is very useful. The velvet voice of Will Dowdy makes it a joy to listen to. I will be looking out for other books he has narrated. Recommend.

I listened to this audiobook recently and wanted to share my thoughts on both the narration and the content itself.

First, the narration is genuinely excellent. The narrator brings a strong sense of clarity, pacing, and character to the performance, making it easy to stay engaged throughout. There’s a natural flow to the delivery, and it feels distinct without being overdone. It’s clear a lot of care has gone into the performance, and it really elevates the overall listening experience. I’d happily give the narration a full five stars.

As for the book itself, it provides some strong guidance and ideas and is great as either a refresher in the art of active listening or as a very accessible and rewarding introduction to the topic. For me, it lands at a solid four stars.

Overall, this is well worth checking out, especially in audio format where the narration really brings it to life.

I found this book very useful in helping me deal with a new role at work. The author deserves a lot of credit for structuring a tricky, often dry subject and making it accessible and digestible. The master stroke is the narration. Will Dowdy's soothing tones bring it into the realms of easy listening, the perfect voice for a long journey.
