Summary

A tale of mystery, scandal and murder that may have been committed by the Ku Klux Klan in London. A young Sussex gentleman named John Openshaw has a strange story: in 1869 his uncle Elias Openshaw had suddenly come back to England to settle on an estate at Horsham, West Sussex, after living for years in the United States as a Planter in Florida and serving as a Colonel in the Confederate Army....Who else but Sherlock Holmes can solve these series of deaths?©2009 Audio Holdings, LLC (P)2009 Audio Holdings, LLC Anthologies Anthologies & Short Stories Mystery Traditional Detectives

Editor reviews

Unique in the Sherlock Holmes cannon for presenting a client who Holmes has trouble protecting and a case that he cannot necessarily wrap up satisfactorily The Five Orange Pips is a classic of the detective genre. A mysterious note with symbolic connotations, a family history shrouded in fear, and two murders drive a terrified man to Holmes' office at 221B Baker St. Edward Raleigh performs the audiobook, voicing the narrator, Mr. Watson, and his complete admiration for his friend Homes, superbly.
