I went in completely blind without even realising that this book is actually the second part of series (“Kate Delaney”). That, however, did not make the whole experience less enjoyable and the story less comprehensible. Louise Milligan has done a great job summarising the first book at the beginning of this one and I personally think it can also be read (or listened to) as a stand alone.

“Shellybanks” has everything - compelling story, plot twists, relatable characters and is beautifully performed by Genevieve O’Reilly, whose voice I thoroughly enjoyed listening to for hours.
