This series is everything I love. Give me a good romantic suspense and I am all in! This one features Raven and Connor. He has had his eye on her from the start, but she keeps him at arms length. But when she finds herself in trouble, he is there to help her out. Slowly she begins to trust him, but the threat of her ex has her keeping the secrets she has to so Connor doesn't find himself in danger. What she doesn't know is Connor isn't afraid, and his friends will be there to back him. This is a slow burn suspense building story that I could not put down. I kept wondering what was going to happen next, and what was the secret Raven was keeping that would set the danger into motion. It's exciting and romantic. Nyssa Kathryn knows how to do it, and as always, I can't wait for the rest of the team to have their stories!

Lucy Rivers and Connor Crais are the story tellers for this listen and boy can they tell a story. Rivers si Raven, and she goes right into defensive mode! Raven is scared and Rivers pulls out the stops as she keeps her guarded and falling in love. Crais plays the alpha hero, Connor with that protective hug feeling. I could feel his need to keep her safe and love her. These two were amazing together and I loved their performance.

Nyssa Kathryn never ceases to amaze me with her impressive writing style and ability to create intriguing stories that captivate your attention completely, where nothing else matters except what is going to happen next in her book. I have been loving my visits to “Deep River”, each book as amazing as the other, and this third book of the series is Raven Price and Connor Blackwood’s story, a story I was looking forward to since they piqued my interest in the previous book. The complexity of these characters is incredible, and I knew Raven’s backstory was going to be a doozy, but wow, not what I was expecting, and the depth to it was amazing. After being burned by his ex, Connor does not trust easily, nor does he like secrets, and he knows Raven has them, and while his protective instincts come out, he is not sure if he should follow his heart or his mind for her. Raven has her reasons for not opening up to him, and there is a lot at stake, including those she loves and cares about. Kathryn outdoes herself once again with this amazing story, a masterfully crafted, multi-layered story with non-stop drama, the perfect balance of angst, action, thrilling suspense, mystery, twists and turns, heartfelt emotions, and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot, and world-building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Nyssa Kathryn, thank you for another impressive story and wild, emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing audiobook listen and production performed in duet by Lucy Rivers and Connor Crais, who are incredible with the character voices and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. Both embodied their characters completely and were naturals in their roles, with Rivers nailing it as Raven, grasping every facet of her personality, from her skittishness to strength and determination, and all in between. Connor did the same in his role, playing the fierce protector with a heart of gold, and was just as amazing at showcasing his character’s personality. Both were fantastic at performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. They set the ideal tone for the story, and their expressive performance conveys all the characters’ emotions, making you feel them all. These two are a fabulous narration team, with voices and talent that complement each other, and a captivating performance that rivets you to the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
