Is it really wrong to want to murder your boss?

Dylan has worked for Gabe for two years. Two long years of sarcastic comments. Two long years of insults, and having to redo the coffee pot four times in the mornings to meet his exacting standards.

Not surprisingly he has devoted a lot of time to increasingly inventive ways to murder Gabe. From stabbing him with a cake fork, to garrotting him with his expensive tie, Dylan has thought of everything.

However, a chance encounter opens his eyes to the attraction that has always lain between them, concealed by the layers of antipathy. There are only two problems - Gabe is still a bastard, and he makes wedding planners look like hardened pessimists.

But what happens when Dylan starts to see the real Gabe? What happens when he starts to fall in love with the warm, wary man that he sees glimpses of as the days pass?

Because Gabe is still the same commitment shy, cold man that he’s always been, or is he? Has Dylan had the same effect on Gabe, and has his solid gold rule of no commitment finally been broken? With his heart taken Dylan desperately needs to know, but will he get hurt trying to find the answers?

From the author of The Summer of Us comes another scorchingly hot romantic comedy, showing what happens between two men when rules get broken.

Having not read this before I listened to it, I was not sure it would be my kind of thing. But am I glad I did..
Dylan and Gabe are so hot as a couple.Dylan is full of sass and Gabe is the haughty boss. The banter between Dyland and his flatmate had me snorting with laughter. My husband kept sideways glaring at me because I kept bursting out with laughter. Next minute I had tears falling down my cheeks with sadness.
At times I wanted to shake Gabe.
Imust admit Joel Leslie made this book for me with his portrayal of the characters, I don't think I would have emjoyed it quite as much if I read it myself before listening to it.
Joel brought the characters to life.
I am now looking forward to listening to Deal Maker and Risk Taker in the Mixed Messages series.
You have got to give this a go, it's fab.

Full of Sass and Wit, and smoking hot sex scenes

Dylan and Gabes book was amazing listening to it. Funny in places heartbreaking in some, one of my favourite reads and this didn't disappoint me in anyway. Joel Leslie was fantastic I was a little worried about him doing his take on it because it is set in the UK but he was as always fabulous his take on everyone, the story everything. Definitely one I will be listening to again many time. I hope will get Jude's and ASA book soon,

I absolutely loved this story when it first came out, (and several times I've read it since!), but listening it surpassed my expectations! Joel Leslie was spot on for all the characters- I am always awed by how versatile he is - and this is no exception. Joel was perfect for Lily Morton's book. From his slight polished sound for Gabe, a bit of a hint of the country for Dylan to the whingeing tone of Fletcher, I was treated to an excellent performance.
I really hope he does the rest of the series, I loved his voice for Jude ❤
