Excellent account of life in post war Britain, the music scene in the 60s, and the creation of The Who. Roger Daltrey does a great job of the narration, and really carried the story along, even laughing at a mistake at one point! You'll want to get the Who LPs out after listening.
This is one of those audiobooks you get through quickly, then feel sorry it's finished.

Daltrey doesn't sugar coat anything here, though of course everything is written with his own slant. It's great to hear him read it through too, chuckling occasionally as he remembers certain things.

Comes across as the 'normal bloke made good' that he plainly is. This is the story of musical stalwart - warts and all. Give it a listen. If you love The Who, you'll love it.

A long time fan of Roger Daltrey it was brilliant to hear him telling stories of his life. It really wasn't like him reading a book - just telling you about his life with him retelling stories with emotion and humour
