The Grace Notes Trilogy will probably always be my lifeline, but Ribbonwood by the incredibly talented Ruby Landers absolutely deserves every bit of the hype.

The main characters felt so real and relatable to me, maybe it’s because I’m from New Zealand, but the Aussie banter and sharp sass added an extra layer of charm and authenticity that made the story even more enjoyable. The dialogue sparkles, and the chemistry between the leads is electric from the very first clash.

This is a perfect sapphic enemies-to-lovers romance, full of tension, heart, and emotional depth. It’s written with such care and honesty, grounded in truth and reality in a way that makes everything feel true to the human experience. I felt completely connected to the characters and fully immersed in their world.

The narration by Katherine Littrell was beautifully done and perfectly placed. She captured everything. The comedy, the everyday moments, the angst, and the emotional depth with such nuance.

Ruby Landers is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors, and I can’t wait to see what she writes next.
