Wonderful storytelling that gives us a contemporary Major Boothroyd of the Fleming/ modern continuation novels but with real depth and character.Fun, dark and witty with some familiar and favourite returning characters that any Bond fan and now Q fan will love.More please ,and keep the wonderful orator.

I gave this one a try, as I am a big James Bond fan. I thought the story was relatively standard sort of fare for the cosy crime genre. There were some glaring plot points that really didn't sit right (e.g. a cybersecurity expert saying that internet encryption wasn't his area of expertise...), which reduced my immersion in the story but not enough to stop me from finishing it.

I found the performance to be overly sarcastic and sneering at times, which detracted from my enjoyment overall.

I didn’t like or dislike but was disappointed. Malabar House and Baby Ganash were so much more interesting.
Also Papa John grated on me, he’s a Smerf

With attention turned from James Bond to Q this is such good fun. The writing is rye & sparkling. I enjoyed it more than the Bond books.I’m looking forward to the next book in the series coming out later this year. Alexander Armstrong is a great reader & perfect for this. Enjoy.
