Lucas finally gets the puppy he wants to train for the search and rescue team. After being saved by Eve, he has wanted to help and now he is ready! But when the dog is recognized and said he stole it, the police become involved and Eve is the one who is set to watch the puppy. Said to be the puppy of a dead man who's murder has not been solved, the deeper they get into the story, the more people that want to claim the dog. The question is why and will Lucas get to keep his dog? From the start, this is fast paced and the characters who come in are all suspects for me as I tried to figure out how this one was going to turn out. Plus Willow and Atlas loved the pup!

Julie McKay is the woman! Always spot on with her voices, consistent from book to book and she just knows how to tell a story. Every time she captures my interest and keeps me riveted until the end. I love her and she is this series!

This is the twenty-first installment in the Search & Rescue Cozy Mysteries series, and it continues to be an enjoyable collection of short mysteries. Evelyn is smart, kind, and determined, making her adventures a pleasure to follow. The plot is well crafted, with plenty of intrigue and twists to keep things interesting. Julie McKay once again delivers an excellent performance, bringing this story to life.
