It took a police investigation of two years to bring her and a small gang of cohorts to justice and, in 2014, Spencer was jailed for twelve years. With her abusers in jail, and Samantha bravely rebuilding her life, her shocking story is a stark warning to those who believe child sexual abuse follows any set pattern. I am a retired London Cop with a lot of experience with child abuse etc. It never ceases to sadden me these type of stories. Why oh Why can parents or others see what's going on eh....

So Glad to hear the outcome. I found this book after reading a BBC News article on the case. Stick with it and then make sure you watch your kids.

What a sad story this is. The presentation of the book is beautiful, the reader gives the story to the listener with such real emotion.

Couldn’t stop listening to your story , your mother treated you terribly & I don’t know how you can stay in contact with her . Those men or should I say monsters too some not getting locked up , total scum & I hope they rot in hell . You have overcome so much & what a amazing lady you are with such determination to grab life & live it . Happy ending for you lots of love to your little family x
