I love this author’s other books, but this was a struggle to finish. I lost track of the characters

I loved all shalini boland's other books, but this is dreadful. The story is not very good but the narration is dire! The narrator sounds as if she is constantly on the point of tears and her tone never varies.

It only took a few minutes to get into this story and I found it impossible to turn it off, i needed to hear what was happening how were Riley and Luke and their adventure. I can’t say much as I don’t want to spoil the story for others but I now need to get the next book in this brilliant trilogy.
What I can say was relieved to find out that it didn’t develop into another apocalyptic horror as I really don’t like those so would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys story’s of a futuristic style without the gore many people include now.

I love this book I just couldn’t put it down, it starts off slow but once you know all the characters it just gets better and better, I actually could imagine this happening, can’t wait to read the next one in this series, well done to the narrator as well , she kept me awake half the night just wanting more and more, love this Author and all her books
