When Harry Barnett is informed that his son is in hospital in a diabetic coma, he is certain that there must be some mistake, since he does not have a son. But he soon discovers that he does. David Venning was a brilliant mathematician, and his tragic condition is taken to be the result of an accident or a suicide attempt. But his notebooks are missing, and two other fellow employees have died in suspicious circumstances. Coincidence? Or is David the victim of attempted murder?

Unlike Into the Blue, had not previously read Out of the Sun [son - play on words???]; and I doubt I would have finished the hardcopy book, being put off early on by the higher mathematical jargon, the mumbo-jumbo science that made no sense.
But thanks to narrator Paul Shelley who breaths life into Harry, voices the other characters with the skill of a good actor, I put aside how implausible the whole scenario was and stayed with, even enjoyed for the most part Harry's dogged pursuit of the truth, despite the corny & questionable ending for such a middle aged heavy drinker & smoker.

Hapless Harry hones in again!

This is continuation of Harry Barnett adventures. Very skilfully woven and connected with the first book, but unfortunately much worse than the first book. As you can see, Harry Barnett is getting older and the advancing years are not good for him ...

What if's? Genius appears to be a dangerous thing in the wrong hands. Love Harry's steadfast and simple courage in Robert Goddard's books. Well narrated by Paul Shelly.

Very entertaining as per =)
