Both books cover issues of miss masculinity, broken home impacts on self and relationships. Interestingly it also covers topics around black women and blackwomen strength. To be honest at first I couldn’t get with the narrator in the way it was being told however given it a bit of time the story itself is quite gripping to listen to the twist and turns and at times you laugh or you’re shocked. The book gave a bit of everything .
