Finn and Kaz are about to meet for the first time.

Ten-year-old Finn, a quirky, sensitive boy who talks a lot and only eats at cafes with a 5-star hygiene rating, is having a tough time at school and home.

Outspoken Kaz, 59, who has an acerbic sense of humour and a heart of gold, is working at the café when Finn and his mum come in.

They don't know it yet, but the second time they meet will be a moment which changes both of their lives forever . . .

I loved this book. The characters are all memorable and take us through a difficult chapter in a families life.
im not a spoiler so I'm not going to tell you the highs or loss.
try not to read the blurb, you'll feel the impact more.
I also listened on Audible and found the narrators to be really good. The female, Joan Watson has a voice you'll be fooled into thinking is someone else.
loved it.

Wonderful.

This unique story of bullying being a carer will resonate with many listeners. It certainly did with me. Beautifully narrated to boot . Most enjoyable audio book for a long time .

Fortunately I have learned to stick with a book written by an author whose books have enjoyed previously. I found the story a little hard going initially but once into it I couldn’t wait to listen to more. The empathy, twists in the story and characters made for a wonderful story which unexpectedly had me in tears

I cried

I loved this book. A little sad but thought provoking re accepting differences and not making assumptions. Narration was excellent. The story line was good . I accept that this was a novel but I hope there would be more understanding with the various agencies if this was a true account. I gave the rating as story line and narration worked well together. I find it very annoying when a book is spoilt by the narrator.
