About this listen

The highly anticipated sequel to My Life with the Walter Boys, the internationally bestselling novel that inspired the Netflix series!

Jackie Howard returns to the Walter ranch after a summer in New York. She needed space—and got it. But she doesn't know where things stand with her and Cole Walter after that goodbye kiss. Over the summer, she stopped texting him. She never stopped thinking about him.

Still, with Cole living off in town to work at Tony's garage before he heads off to college, Jackie thinks it'll be easy to avoid him—only to find that when she sees him face to face at last, it's, well . . . impossible to resist him. Things are getting complicated: he's the boy she can't get off her mind, and the Walters have become the family she loves and needs. How can Jackie move forward when she's afraid of taking the next step?

I loved the continuation of the story but it didn’t really go anywhere and the ending was disappointing

Great characters but not a lot happens

it was a sweet story! i have not seen the NF series and regarding the comments I do not intend to. this story about grief, love, growing up is enough and I like Jackie's relationship with the Walters as it is in the book. the love triangle with Alex and Cole is understandable as everything is PE and we follow her trough her insecurities and her sabotage of her relationship with Cole. the way the brothers deal with it can be funny even, well written I'd say. Cole's kindda mature in his own way, regarding his young age and I got attached to his character.
the narration is good also! the voices are nice, and it makes all the banters and jokes of the boys enjoyable !!
it was sweet, very cute at some moments. i recommend it as a nice romance.

Sweet story

I honestly loved it mostly just being Jackie and Cole ina happy relationship like it was sooo cute I kinda just hoped there would be no drama but ofc there was 😔😔 the writing was honestly a bit cringy and I felt Jackie was portrayed in a better way in the series but over all quite a good bookkkk

Ok call it repetitive I don’t even care

as much as they showed the characters story's they still showd a bit to much of just Cole and jacque and there story was just the same jacque hurt Cole and he forgave her over and over again

I loved the fact it involved all the family just Cole and and Jacque

I loved that it was Jackie's pov. I haven't read the first book yet but I saw the series in NF. Gotta say I was disappointed they took some of the mentioned moments away from Cole and Jackie to give them to Alex and Jackie. But then again I'm guessing they wanted it to be more of a love triangle than just Cole/Jackie story. Well the second book WAS more of a relationship and I didn't mind one bit. All of Jackie's insecurities were explained nicely and the on again/off again added to the story. I wouldn't of liked just the happy times and everything is sunshine and rainbows. Life is more complicated than that, kids.
And then again there was many heartfelt moments between Jackie and other members of the family. They always fell bland in the series cause they gave away (again!!!) the screentime to random teachers (wtf was that even??!) and other boring characters. Instead I really would've preferred it to be like in the books. It makes us care about the MAIN characters, the Walters. I dgaf about teachers lovelives, seriously!!!!
Anyways. I'm now gonna read the first book and I'll wait for the second season of MLWWB. Next month already, y'all!!

Heart.
