The story was a mess. After really enjoying the previous book, I expected this one to build on that momentum, but instead it leaves a massive gap with no attempt to fill it. Characters appear out of nowhere with little introduction, as if you’re supposed to magically remember who everyone is just from a name. 😅 Overall, it was a real letdown after the previous book had actually managed to pull me in.
