It is Christmas Day and at Champton Rectory, Canon Daniel Clement and his mother Audrey are joined by the residents and guests of the big house to drink, eat and be merry.
At the festive feast, peace and goodwill prevail.
Until two meet under the mistletoe. One of them falls down dead. And Daniel suspects murder has returned to Champton . . .

Critic reviews
Witty and warm, yet sharpened with just enough bite. (Anna Bonet)
If you’ve not read the first novel, the nuances of the individual characters won’t be obvious in this book but if you have, you’ll feel like you’re in the room attempting to enjoy Christmas at the Rectory.
Thank you for this gorgeous little taste of Champton (and bread sauce!).
