Enjoyable in parts, but dragged by slow exposition and a weak narrative focus. The charm of book one is largely missing, and the story feels like it’s treading water until an abrupt, unsatisfying ending. Narration by Laurence Bouvard and team was excellent and helped elevate a book that otherwise lacked momentum.

So this is one of those books where they could have just skipped all the bit in the middle, something important happens early on, then you know, lots of repetitive stuff around Shakespeare, then a major character decides to do change plans to do something that they already pretty much tried in book 1.

The performance was good, just the material went on and on all the time.
