Summary
A precocious, often thoughtful 11-year-old named Lucinda befriends Bob, a lonely ghost who lives on a beach on an island in South Carolina. When Lucinda learns Bob died while vacationing with his daughter and granddaughter and now he can’t leave the island to return home to Tennessee, she must enlist her parents’ help in freeing Bob, although her parents cannot see him. In this story of friendship and hope, Lucinda takes us on a journey of what it means to be selfless in a selfish world.
