If there’s one thing Kennedy Fox knows how to do it’s making you hungry for more.
From the moment there was even a hint of a story with Tyler I was immediately desperate for it. Like a bloodhound I was on the trail for Tyler and his much deserved happily ever after. I greedily lapped up every second of their story. Going in, I expected it to be a sweet and slow second chance with emotion weaved in while I watched Tyler do everything in his power to get his forever woman. But, Kennedy Fox decided that nice and easy was not the road they were taking with these two. I was unprepared for the tumultuous roller coaster of a ride that was Tyler and Gemma. It’s a wonder my jaw isn’t permanently on the floor with the bombshells dropped. Tyler truly lived up to the man I had come to know and love...a guy who would stop at nothing to protect the woman he loved and it was a beautiful thing.

Tor Thom and Lia Langola made for the perfect Tyler and Gemma! Their performance enhanced every feel this story had.

Lia Longola & Tor Thom are a brilliant narrating duet. Hearing Tor saying the word that starts with f is the sexiest thing.

Kennedy Fox never ceases to amaze me, they create multilayered stories that grab your attention and your heartstrings and hold them hostage their entire book. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with, they are easy to care about and even fall for. “Only Him” is Tyler and Gemma’s story and it is a beautifully written second chance romance. Gemma always crushed on her friend, Everleigh’s, older brother, and when he enlisted in the Army, she wrote him and he wrote her back. He returns home four years later and they spend the summer together before he ups and leaves and breaks her heart. His life did not go as planned, he got in with the wrong people and wound up in prison, when released he returns to his hometown to start over and was lucky to get a job at the local car repair shop, owned by Gemma’s father. It took years for Gemma to move on from Tyler and she finally found someone to move on with and is engaged to him. She was not expecting to see Tyler ever again and definitely not expecting to be working with him at her father’s shop. She has been second guessing her feeling for her fiancé, Robert, and seeing Tyler again reminds her of what love really feels like. I loved how everything plays out in this book, it was great watching Gemma and Tyler trying to coexist and navigate a friendly work relationship without stirring up old feelings and how they really felt about each other, since she was engaged. But not is all it seems with her fiancé and then Tyler’s not so distance past comes back to haunt him. A lot goes on in this book, and there is never a dull moment. It is a wonderfully written and plotted story with plenty of drama, angst, heartfelt emotions, some twists and turns, thrilling suspense and a slow burn, second chance romance. Kennedy Fox, thank you for another wonderful story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Kennedy Fox cast the perfect narrators to bring their character and story to life. Lia Langola and Tor Thom did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that suited their character’s persona to a tee and were believable in every role they played. Tor Thom’s Tyler was spot on, he grasped all sides of his personality, and Lia Langola did the same for Gemma. Both were great voicing the secondary characters as well. They sent the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance, having you feel every single one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another wonderful listen.
