In the seaside town of Kinlough, on Ireland's west coast, three old friends are thrown together for the first time in years. Loved it - felt like I was there…the advantage of an audiobook is hearing the beautiful accents. Disadvantage - you can flip back to the character list at the start as new people come on the scene

I cried at the end, won't give anything away, but I was entirely engrossed in the lives of these characters for the time it took me to read the book.
The three narrators are convincing and authentic, the story is tender, but brutal, almost savage. I'd have like to have known Kala, she sounds cool, unique and loyal.

Set over 15 years. Captures the heady teenage years of a group of 15 year olds. Skips on 15 years and catches up with their future selves trying to come to terms with the events of their last summer together which has reverbations into their current lives. The present and past are untangled in shocking revelations leaving sadness and hope.

Loved the writing and content. Unputdownable.
