About this listen
What happens when fate intertwines shifters from land and sea?
When Jonah Steele hung a flyer in the local coffee shop advertising his services as a housekeeper, he didn’t expect the town’s hot doctor to hire him on the spot. He definitely didn’t think he’d still be working for the mysterious older alpha two years later. But something about Dr. Pictou keeps Jonah returning to the big house on the cliff, a bone-deep longing he can’t explain—and recently, it’s been making Jonah crave the good doctor in ways he shouldn’t.
Dr. Edwin Pictou couldn’t say why he hired the young omega lynx to clean his house, but Jonah had ensnared him at first sight, and now, even though he really doesn’t need a housekeeper, the thought of letting Jonah go is unsettling. When Edwin comes home to find the omega—who he’s started to think of as his own—in heat, he realizes there is more at play than he first thought. Fate has intervened, and Edwin has no intention of ever letting Jonah go again.
Jonah and the Narwhal is the first story in the Land and Sea shifter MPREG series featuring fated mates, pleasurable partial shifts, and the beginnings of a found family. This story has been expanded from its original version into a full-length novel.

I'm looking forward to the next book where both their friends figure out they are mates (I'm guessing that's the case anyway).

The narration was good, and it was easy to distinguish the voices of the various characters.
I received a free copy of the audiobook and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.
Entertaining, sweet and steamy, fated mates

Jonah is just such an adorable character. A lynx shifter, just twenty-four, who went looking for extra work while he got his website creation and marketing business up and running. He’s successful in that, but for reasons he can’t explain, he still cleans Dr. Edwin’s house. He’s attracted to the much-older doctor. Those feelings continue to increase as he nears his sexual maturity.
His heat comes hard and fast and leaves him spinning out of control. So, of course, Edwin has to benevolently assist. Oh, yeah, like bedding the young man is such a hardship.
But how will a narwhal shifter and a lynx shifter make a relationship work? I have to say, I had a few questions. But mpreg stories are fantasy and Vinni makes the story work. I also love how the next story is teed up perfectly – I can’t wait.
Hats off to Declan Winters who did a great job narrating the audio. I thoroughly enjoyed this one.

This is a first for me on two fronts: my first Vinni George book, and my first listen by Declan Winters, and I have to say, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
Jonah has been cleaning for Edwin for two years. Something about the older doctor calls to his cat, and he really doesn't need to clean anymore, but leaving tugs at his heart. Edwin can't let his omega go, either. Finding the young man in heat, in Edwin's bed, triggers something deep in Edwin and he knows that the lynx is his fated mate.
What this is, is a wonderful tale of falling for your mate and what happens when two different species get together.
And it was fun! It wasn't a difficult or complicated listen, and there was no breakup/make up. No drama. Just lots and lots of steamy times! And I really enjoyed it!
Sometimes, you just need to fall into a book and wile away a few hours. Granted, the audio took about 5 hours, but still.
Declan Winters narrates wonderfully and it was easy to listen to him. His voices for Jonah and Edwin were markedly different, as they should be. But being a hard of hearing person, the voices for ALL the characters were all spot on and I was able to differentiate being them without any problems.
Winters gets over all Jonah's need to be in Edwin's space, and all of Edwin's need to have Jonah in his life. He gets over all the fear the Edwin has about Jonah's pregancy, and Jonah's need for things to be ok.
Its a wonderful tale, well written, and very well delivered. I look forward to being able to listen to further books in the series!
