Read very patronisingly, it has a negative feel to it regardless of the fairly good content

If you have adhd the voice is patronising

I would suggest starting with this book on the adventure of understanding ADHD for both partners in an affected relationship.
A solid grounding from which you can then go on to read the more scientific texts.

A great introduction to ADHD

I have ADHD and this book was suggested to my wife. It have a very true and helpful view point but the tone of the narrator is SO negative about ADHD which is a shame because my wife and I love ADHD!

Biased Narrator

I'll get it out of the way first: I'm more than a little annoyed that the chapter titles are missing - it's literally the only mechanism by which we can meaningfully jump around a 15 hour long audio stream! Not only that but the chapter numbers don't line up with the audio - come on guys, this is fundamental stuff.

That frustration aside, the content was very enlightening, informative and perhaps most significantly of all, for me personally, incredibly validating.

I learnt some new stuff but I also now have the much needed confirmation that I'm not losing my marbles and I'm not the (main) problem... I can see light at the end of this very long, very dark tunnel for the first time in longer than I care to acknowledge.

Validation at last!
