Good book. I don’t know about mc being a support but I hope that changes.

Over the years I’ve read so many system induction LitRPG books and I started to get a bit jaded, but I’m glad I read this book. This story follows a popular trope and doesn’t have many new concepts but the way it’s written kept it interesting. The MC is realistic and his decision making is actually believable. The side characters are a bit 2-dimensional, but it doesn’t take away from the story. The world building has a unique spin on how new worlds are inducted into the system. Oh and of course, Travis Baldree does an exceptional job of getting you fully immersed in the action. I can’t wait for the next instalment. Just wish I could read ahead on RoyalRoad or something…

Easy to follow and understand, engaging story. Will be happy to continue listening to this series, and as always, an excellent performance by Travis.

A great story and narration I just hope the following books do not disappoint like many of this genre tend to. Where the main characters devolve into emotional wrecks, become intellectually bankrupt and end up psychological broken. Where the storyline is replaced by senseless violence with the characters staggeringg from one near death crisis to another with any storyline going by the wayside.

I wouldn't have begun this book if it had not been available free, but the world building was sufficiently compelling that I am considering purchasing the sequels to find out where the story goes. That said, I didn't run out to download them straight away...
