About this listen

In the dynamic double sequel to Shield of Justice and A Matter of Trust, Det. Sgt. Rebecca Frye struggles to return to duty after a near fatal shooting. Joining forces with enigmatic computer consultant J.T. Sloan, Rebecca accepts a temporary assignment with a Federal task force investigating an Internet child pornography ring. Rebecca's obsession with finding her partner's killer and her involvement in the multi-jurisdictional investigation threaten both her life and her new relationship with Doctor Catherine Rawlings. When Catherine becomes professionally involved and an attempt on the life of a task force member ensues, the pursuit of justice becomes a deadly race against time.

Typical Radclyffe lots of action and lots of sex, Only in fiction can a group of people having so much sex 'get the job done' (no pun intended)! BZ narrates really well (except for the pronunciation of that one word as previous reviews have mentioned)
, she is also able to give us more than one feminine voice which other narrators do not. I like the characters and am invested in their story and safety. Radclyffe once again weaves a forensic story that makes us want to hear to the end !

Typical Radclyffe.......

This one I found hard, I tend to shy away from seedy or dark topics, so here where the story gets a bit more graphic about the crimes/cases being looked into, I felt that this was a bit too much for me rather then the focus on the personalities and romance. Its why I liked Radclyffe's Firestorm much more then this. I suspect by other people's standards this is not much of a problem and they would enjoy the mixture of crime romance and the new love interests which are introduced. I'm inclined not to listen to the next in the series, which is quiet odd for me who is a big fan of Radclyffe. Maybe im just in a perplexing mood, but i would have preferred if a different topic was selected for the crimes. I prefer the low key crimes of Province tales. Dont let this put you off too much have a read of other peoples reviews. The narrator Betsy Zajko is very good,

second in series - okay
