Bloomsbury presents I May Be Wrong by Björn Natthiko Lindeblad, read by Thom Petty.

‘This book really, really will stay with me forever. It’s not only laced with the most incredible wisdom, but it’s also gentle and beautiful and eloquent. It brought me so much joy and so much comfort’ FEARNE COTTON

The Sunday Times bestselling book of comfort and timeless wisdom from former forest monk, Björn Natthiko Lindeblad
___________

Let me tell you what this book is not. It's not about religion. It's not about telling you how to live your life. It's not about taking on a new set of beliefs. Plain and simple, it's about how to relate to your own thoughts and emotions in a way that makes your life more enjoyable, more free, brighter, clearer and wiser.

We like to think we understand what's happening around us; that we can determine the path our life takes. But often, things don't go that way – in fact, they rarely do.

What helps us respond to life as it unfolds? To live freely, stay humble and find comfort in difficult times?

In the Swedish sensation I May Be Wrong, former forest monk Björn Natthiko Lindeblad shares his advice on how to face the uncertainty and doubt that is a natural part of life. We don't choose our thoughts. We don't control the shape they take, or what pops into our minds. We can only choose whether or not to believe them.

Infusing the everyday with heart, grace and gentle humour, this is a book to help us all navigate the realities of modern life.

Critic reviews

[An] extraordinary life . . . A book that, improbably, mixes elements of profundity and sweetness in equal measure. I read it, turning down the corners of pages I wished to refer back to, and marking certain passages with a pencil. By the end, almost every page was folded and marked
How magnificently disconcerting of this Swedish former forest monk to admit to doubts, even profound ones. His book is a multiple prize-winner across Europe, and you can quickly see why . . . Contains more wisdom and will do people more good than the complete works of Paul McKenna . . . This is a book of some brilliance
Probably the best book I read last year . . . Bjorn’s words taught me to question everything I thought I already knew, and how to accept things we simply cannot control . . . Captivating beyond measure . . . Everybody should read this book (9 Best Motivational Self-Help Books)
I loved every single page . . . It’s not only just laced with the most incredible wisdom, but it’s also gentle and beautiful and eloquent. There’s so much storytelling . . . I literally could not put this book down (Fearne Cotton)
Phenomenal. Steeped in wisdom. Best book I've read in a long time (Ella Mills)
Genuinely stays with you . . . Written with humility, charm and wit . . . There is not only gentle wisdom in these pages, but it’s a great read, too . . . Each chapter describes scenes from Lindeblad's life and valuable lessons he has learned, that will encourage you to let go of the small stuff, accept the things you cannot control and open your heart and mind to a more happy and peaceful life
With our potential to maintain a peaceful state of mind, it is possible to remain optimistic in the face of difficulties. Björn Natthiko Lindeblad, a former forest monk in Thailand, relates his experience of training to properly direct his thoughts which can benefit all (His Holiness the Dalai Lama)
Contains so many wisdoms that tie in with the big issues that the world wrestles with today . . . Heart-rending, yet at the same time so beautiful

This is by far the best book I've listened to on Audible. The story is honest and sincere. The narrator is exceptional and should be the most sought after for Audible. I'm not easily pleased and I've heard every self help book. This is all you need. It will be my last self help book after 40 years of searching. Thank you so much Bjorn.

The very best listen ever!

This is a wonderful memoir of a former monk in the Thai Forest Tradition of Ajahn Chah.

It is honest and heartwarming, charting the highs and lows of a young man who ordains for 17 years in a very austere tradition and his inner transformation. The equanimity with which he faces a terminal diagnosis in his late 40s is inspiring.
