I had high hopes for this book when I listened to the first chapter. I was expecting scandal and gasps, but unfortunately I didnt get any of that. I feel like the story didnt ever really get going - nothing really happened. The main character felt almost robotic and 'vanilla' despite what she was going though. I didnt dislike the book altogether, but I certainly wouldn't say it was a page turner. The narrator had a lovely soothing tone to her voice though. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this book if you're after something to really get your teeth in to.
