such a beautiful story. If you enjoy Jo Jo Moyles you will love this. The author has an ability to draw you in an fully engage with characters. I'm off to look for her other novels

Whilst I must recognise that at first all the time and character changes felt a bit disjointed to me, this is a great reading (listening). Loved the story and got to live it. Good narrative and a perfect end. Thank you!

A great book if a little predictable in parts. A wonderful if very sad love story, told very well. A history lesson thrown in too, what is not to like?
