WINNER OF THE CRIME WRITERS' ASSOCIATION GOLD DAGGER AWARD FOR BEST CRIME NOVEL OF 2020

Don't miss the next electrifying Cyrus Haven thriller - When She Was Good, the Richard & Judy Book Club Pick for Summer 2021, is out now.

'A gripping and eerie read. You won't be able to look away' Karin Slaughter, #1 international bestselling author

__________

The girl with no past.

Six years ago, Evie Cormac was discovered, filthy and half-starved, hiding in a secret room in the aftermath of a shocking crime. Now approaching adulthood, Evie is damaged, self-destructive and has never revealed her true identity.

The boy who survived.

Forensic psychologist Cyrus Haven, a man haunted by his own past, is investigating the death of champion figure-skater Jodie Sheehan. When Cyrus is called upon to assess Evie, she threatens to disrupt the case and destroy his ordered life. Because Evie has a unique and dangerous gift - she knows when someone is lying. And nobody is telling the truth.

Good Girl, Bad Girl is an unnerving psychological thriller from one of the greatest crime writers of today.

Critic reviews

'Haunting . . . Robotham expertly raises the tension as the action hurtles toward the devastating climax. Readers will hope the complex Cyrus will return for an encore.'
Explosive . . . This sensitive, suspenseful mystery firmly establishes Robotham in the top ranks of psychological-thriller writers. And it cries out for a sequel
'It's the careful and often poignant interplay between Cyrus and Evie that elevates this consistently stellar yarn . . . Robotham is a master plotter at the top of his form, and readers will surely hope to see more of his complicated new characters'
An extraordinary exploration of emotional damage, full of humour and humanity

Wow, a page turner and Michael Robotham’s new character doesn’t disappoint.
A true physiological thriller, his insight into the subject is inspiring and used to its best advantage. AAA *

Another fantastic stand - alone novel from Mr Robotham, ( but with the tiniest of nods to Joseph O'Loughlin at the end to ensure avid readers know that he still resides in the author's mind.)
A great read all round: I definitely recommend the novel to any fan of this genre, whether or not you've enjoyed Michael Robotham before, because they get better and better each time.

Marvellously interwoven threads of plot!

Love love loved it!... I was beginning to despair as last few audible books have been awful.. But this book is fantastic.. I was even listening when I woke up in middle of the night.. Great story made even better by fantastic narrator!

Fantastic

loved this story ..it took me a while to get into it ..I maybe just missed Joe o loughlin ..problem with this was I kept missing my place and found it really difficult to find it again ..I think it may have been that chapters were so short rewinding slightly brought me back to chapters I had heard..apart from the frustration i did enjoy this story and am looking forward to reading more

most trouble I've ever had with an audiobook

I enjoyed this book. The character of Evie was interesting and mysterious as was Cyrus although to me he seemed more like a therapist than a psychologist. The plot was well interwoven and moved along quite nicely. The ending could have been a bit stronger, some of the loose ends were left unanswered but I am guessing this is likely to be the beginning of a series. The narrator was good although I felt he could have had a clearer difference between Cyrus's voice and some of the other men's voices.

Good plot with interesting characters
