if I could rate this 10 stars I would do, I absolutely loved this 2nd installment, with the first it was such a slow burn and in my opinion not enough of stark, but this one just hit every single mark I had. the story was fantastic so much going on with Meryn and stark at the centre of it all.
I loved that stark had his own POV and I immensely loved that Meryn wasn't afraid to tell stark how she felt about him. I want to read it all over again. Narration was superb just like the first book the way these narrators had me feeling all the feels, they lived rent free all day long from start to finish.
spice was amazing great detail had me kicking my feet. overall read this series just remember it's a slow burn it really kicks off by chapter 27 but it's really worth the wait.

This is still an enjoyable book and series so far but for me I actually preferred Dire Bound, on paper this should be everything I like in a book, fantasy, romantasy, magical races, strong FMC and morally grey MMC, etc and although the story is good it just misses pushing my buttons in terms of the story captivating me and feeling drawn to the characters like I am with other books, I'm absolutely going to read the next one as I'm here for Stark at this point,

Wow wow wow. Absolutely loved this. Preordered it straight after reading book 1, which, luckily for me, was only 2 months ago so didn’t have long to wait. It was exciting and I was hooked from early on. Loved the main twist, which I didn’t guess. Can’t wait for book 3 and will likely reread all on the run up to it. Sooooo good. FMC was a bit whiny to start but it didn’t last long. I loved the banter with the wolves and other MC. Loved the friendship group growth and the new characters were a good addition. Looking forward to see if my guess about a new relationship is going to come true. Fuming about the wait.

This was an absolute joy from start to finish. Story, pacing etc... was genuinely perfect. Narration was fab and really enhanced the story. It will be painful waiting for the final installment in a years time!
