Who knows what ascends from the Deeps...

Macey is really quite ordinary, if you ignore that she's a kelpie princess living on land. Still, her life is boring until she gets kidnapped by a man who doesn't quite know why he kidnapped her. Try and figure that one out.

Thankfully, he and his two companions are prepared to help her find out why she can't return to Earth from their house in the Mists. Now the only problem is that Macey keeps getting distracted by the three mysterious and very sexy men....

A reverse harem romance drenched in Scottish mythology.

First time listening to a book by Skye and Laura, i have listened to them separately but From The Deep is my first from them both and what a book. There were some moments that bought the heat and it felt wrong to be listening on a bus full of people.

Now i was dubious about a male narrating a woman perspective story but the fact that it has a lot of male voices made the experience worth while. Angus' different character voices for each male role was floorless and the ever so slight feminine edge he gave the overall book made for a fantastic experience. I am very much looking forward to listening to his soft tones again. A must listen to in my mind.

Story with heat

I've read several books by both authors and for those of you that have done the same: they really have bought out the best in one another here. The plot is meatier, the supporting characters have more depth, it's steeped in gaelic lore and has more steam than I've experienced in any of their solo writes I've read!

It's a bit weird having a male narrator read from a woman's POV, but he has an amazing, droolworthy voice.

There is a sense of it building to something greater throughout the book and I know it's the first of a larger series so I look forward to reading/listening to more.

More than the sum of it's parts

I read and listen to a lot of paranormal but this was my first Kelpie. The story had everything I liked, hot men, mystery and a strong female MC but I just didn't feel connected to the story. The narrator did an excellent job with the multitude of characters and separating their voices which helped a lot. I think in the end it was because there was so much information to process plus many scenes kept playing in her head. Which made it hard to grasp what was really happening and why. I did love how it was very unique in an already imaginative genre.

"From the Deeps" reminds me why Paranormal Romance is one of my favorite genres. I'll admit, I don't usually go for reverse harems, but this one intrigued me. I was a bit hot and cold with Macey, but I loved each of the guys, Cam, Flint, and Jared. Each personality was different and distinct. Kudos to Angus Yellowlees for being an amazing narrator! The personalities he applied to each character was well done and this story got me through my day!

Absolutely Amazing!!!!
