In a hidden corner of rural Florida, there’s a place where gleaming horses graze on green pastures and majestic live oaks stretch their tangled branches over an old white cottage. A place where friends gather, children play, and riding skills are honed. This is Briar Hill Farm.

As a professional horse trainer, Jules has built a life for herself that looks enchanted: a beautiful farm, a loving husband, top-notch horses, and now a newborn son she adores. But on the inside, Jules is confused, afraid of the future, and worst of all, not sure how to get herself back in the saddle. Between her rebellious post-partum body, her overwhelming love for her son, and her husband Pete’s constant absences, she can’t seem to muster the interest or energy she needs. So it’s great news when her colleague Kit, her friend Alex, and Alex’s madcap cousin-in-law Gigi all descend on the farm. Jules needs company, inspiration, and a new goal.

Kit loves teaching children to ride, but needs financial backing that means working with intimidating people. And Gigi is trying to figure out how to keep both her marriage and her identity. They’re all looking for distraction and satisfaction, and horses offer both. Can they come together as friends, overlook their differences, and tackle a big project together? What starts as a simple horse show for their riding students becomes a project that might solve everything…or overwhelm them completely.
