This is my Book of the Year. A beautiful, fascinating story of a long relationship and a woman who becomes truly herself in spite of what happens to her. Magnificent writing. Thought-provoking storytelling.

This book is written, and read, in such a humane manner highlighting so well Mme Pelicot's dignity and strength and why/where she got these from. This is such an important book for us to be able to hear her story in her own words and terms. I sincerely hope that her bravery and continued love of life will at the very least help others who have faced/are facing similar violences, if not us all! Wishing her, and her family, the best future possible with closure to all her/their unanswered questions.

Dignity and strength
