Critic reviews
Pippa Campbell is a fantastic nutritionist and really focuses her attention on women like me who are in the mid-life with all the challenges that brings. She makes things simple and easy to understand and what's more I felt so much better after tweaking a few things with my diet.
Pippa's a genius! I took a DNA test earlier this year and was fascinated by the results. The results enabled me to start taking the right supplements that support my hectic lifestyle as a single mum of two children. I also love sports and exercise - especially strength training - so balancing my nutrition is really important.
Pippa Campbell's book provides an answer to so many people wanting to lose weight the right way. It beautifully describes how to personalise the diet to one of 7 different metabolic types to result in successful, healthy weight loss.
I came across Pippa on IG and found her content fascinating. I feel pretty good and don't want to lose weight, but I am in my mid-30s and scared by how many women (my age or slightly older) around me are dealing with serious health issues and getting various autoimmune and hormonal diagnoses.
I feel lucky to say that I feel great and don't have any issues, but neither my nutrition nor my lifestyle is perfect. I am a size 8 or 10 (depending on the shop) and do yoga or pilates five times a week. I've been doing intermittent fasting since my early 20s and really love it. I've been eating a lower carb diet for about 10 years because I found that having carbs with my meals makes me feel sluggish. BUT I am addicted to my daily large caramel latte in our local Costa, and I love and eat lots of dairy products (full-fat milk in my coffee and lots of cheese, especially cheddar and camembert).
The book is brilliant. Pippa explains how our bodies work and what they need to function well. There are clear explanations and instructions and so many practical tips on making this way of eating work for you.
I started the plan today and can't wait to see how I feel in 21 days. I was surprised by the suggested portion sizes, thinking I'd be hungry soon after eating. However, after weighing the food, it turned out that Pippa's instructions actually suggest more protein than I usually eat. I had my meal 7 hours ago, and I am still not hungry. (My meals before this consisted of some protein, some nuts and seeds, some dressing, and lots of different veggies - roasted, raw, steamed.)
"Eat Right, Lose Weight" is a brilliant and practical resource on healthy nutrition and lifestyle. Thank you, Pippa, for writing such a great book and sharing your knowledge, wisdom and experience!
Brilliant and so practical. Thank you, Pippa.
