I've existed only in the shadows.
My only connections were forged through the veil of a computer screen. I was their voice in the dark, their operator. I was their lifeline—until the day my past tore into my present, and they had to become mine.
Captured, subjected to torture and relentless interrogation, I survived long enough for them to find me. I harbor no delusions; fleeing and disappearing again is not an option.
The only way to win is to fight. But to fight, you also have to be willing to risk everything. I was okay with that when the only one at risk was me.
Now, these three formidable men stand shoulder to shoulder, ready to wage war for me. A thief. A mercenary. An assassin. I can't bear the thought of losing them.
I can't.
I won't.
I have only one choice, one path: we take the offensive. We go out together, and we don't let go.
Don't Let Go is book two in the Switchboard Duet and is a full-length dark thriller romance with multiple love interests and a heroine they love but have never seen. This is also a reverse harem novel, meaning the main female character does not have to choose. Of course, it also means the guys have to agree, and well, that's part of the journey.
Narrated in duet style.
©2024 Heather Long (P)2025 Podium AudioA lifetime Thief, Mercenary and Sniper would naturally gravitate towards the voice- "the woman in the chair", that had saved their lives multiple times over several years and made them successful in their line of work. It may have started with gratitude, but saving them in repeated high-stake situations, where one second or a tiny margin of error could cost their lives? Frankly, they owe her more than their lives. Men like these are built different, and it only stands to reason that they would want her forever, in whatever way she wants them. Which is why the RH makes sense!
The spice was just right for their lifestyle. Other reviews may have rightly wanted a HEA or Epilogue, but with the lives they lead, that does not really fit. I bet an Epilogue would just be Patch guiding them through their next mission. They fit with their different skill sets being integral to their survival, she wants to be their "woman in the chair" forever, only theirs. And that's all we need to know, as they drive into their sunrise...
A unique realistic RH

As for the audiobook... I wished they would have followed the 1st book in marking each chapter with the name of the character narrating it. Like when it was Locke's POV it was marked as such. It makes it much easier to navigate the book.
Anyway.. Really loved it though it felt a little rush at the end. Thank you Heather Long for yet another amazing series. Have read 82nd street vandals and working on another ❤️
Loved it! Wished it was longer!
