About this listen

One Man. A Legendary Tavern. A Dungeon full of rules he's about to dismantle.

When Derek is accidentally summoned to another world alongside the chosen "Hero," and is framed by a fellow summoner, he's sent off to the world's most famous labyrinth with nothing but a deed to a notoriously dangerous tavern.

So, Derek jumps right in. He decides to take up the mantle and open the tavern. When he chooses to mass produce illegal health elixirs to help adventurers, he accidentally kickstarts a movement to transform his humble, lawless tavern into a powerful depot that follows him from monster-filled dungeon level to level.

Perhaps, they'll grow powerful enough together to conquer the entire labyrinth once and for all.

This book was absolutely off the wall. While it is a hidden gem, it delivers exactly the kind of chaotic, drunken energy it promises and then some. The pacing is breakneck, and the narration is solid overall, though the narrator’s range for female characters felt a bit limited at times. If you’re looking for a wild, wacky ride that doesn't take itself too seriously, I’d definitely recommend this listen.
