About this listen

Five sex demons. One neurodivergent woman who can't be what they want. And a deal that's going to cost her everything.

When I was fourteen, a woman I called mom was murdered — and it was my fault.

I've been running ever since. Someone's chasing me, and I don't know who they are or what they want. The only thing I'm certain of is that I have to keep moving, or more people will die.

The human authorities are useless. The supernatural cops, worse. My only hope is the Iron Incubi MC — the biggest, baddest, meanest supes around. I'm desperate enough to make a deal even if it costs me everything I have left.

The problem? I'm autistic. I can mask my quirks for a few hours around strangers. I cannot mask them 24/7 around five human-hating incubi who now have me locked up in their mansion in the middle of nowhere.

So what happens when five gorgeous-enough-to-be-underwear-model sex demons imprison a human girl who sucks at bedroom stuff, doesn't cope well with change, and is about to stop pretending she's anything other than exactly who she is?

I'm Jane Mercy. I have no idea. But I don't think it's going to go well for those SOBs — especially when my stalkers come for them too.

Enemies to lovers • Why choose / reverse harem • Forced proximity • Monster romance • Neurodivergent heroine • Dark paranormal romance

Demons and Debts is brilliant. Theres a mystery in the background, so not just the spice - Jane (an FMC who is relatable and refreshing, as she’s very awkward) tries to navigate a dangerous world of supernatural debt and hidden agendas. I love the RH dynamic - each demon has such a distinct, brooding personality, and the dual narration by Lia Langola and Stephen Dexter perfectly captures that 'why choose' energy. It’s the perfect mix of a dark, supernatural puzzle and high-heat romance.

Great story, narrators really bring it to life

This book is fabulous, Demons ,shifters, far and whispers of vampires YES!! The inclusion of a neurodivergent lead throws this whole other depth to the character and the way the narrator portrays that character I feel is on point. Giving the listener a better understanding of the FMC and how the mc’s are connecting or working to understand each other. Stephan Dexter does a great job narrating so many male leads, I am now a fan of his voice for sure !! I can’t wait to hear the next book!!

So intriguing!! Im addicted!

New to the genre and possibly not the target audience for dark romance but I loved this and it held me captivated on many work commutes.

Wow, never listened to anything like it and loved it

I loved the tension in this; Jane knows something is up, the Iron Incubi know something is up and as a listener we know something is definitely up but just not what they think it is! I am suspicious of everyone as although I don't think we are in unreliable narrator territory, I think we have a few secrets which are being kept from various parties. I don't even think Jane is Jane's real name at this point!

I really enjoyed the FMC narrator Lia Langola as Jane. Jane is neurodivergent and the performance feels almost closed off to start with as Jane is masking constantly; I liked how the different aspects of her neurodivergence were explored throughout the book rather than it being reduced to a label. Its a dual narration audiobook and Stephen Dexter is also great providing the MMC POV chapters. This is slow burn however Paris (who I thought would be my favourite with his initial nickname banter until he started using insults instead) is at the bottom and I think Vic may be at the top just now (even if his suspicions are completely off base he clearly is loyal to his family), although I did enjoy Theo and the cereal hide and seek!

All the tension!
