Sookie Stackhouse is a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. Fantastic...read all the books and loved them. The audio books are beautifully read and really easy to listen to. Sometimes audios just arent as enjoyable as reading the book but Johanna Parkers wonderful voice keeps you absolutely captivated all the way through!
Thoroughly recommend these audios, although would advise parents as they are a little racy, i wouldn't want my 13 year old daughter to read this series...the twilight series is better suited to the younger listener.

Wow the Sookie Stackhouse series is excellent, all the books on the Audible site, I consumed within a week, every waking moment, was spent enthralled and delighted by the characters, so well thought out by Charlaine Harris. My anticipation for the tenth book is palpable.

While I loved the books, I wasn't sure about the audio book. The American voice I throught was somewhat grating. However, I noticed that after a short time I relaxed into the story and found the story well told and easy listening. The narrator is good and her voice probably more consistent with the voices that Charlaine Harris would have in her head as she wrote and therefore more authentic

I have listened to the whole series (it took me a year) and I have to say that I really got my moneys worth. I really enjoyed these books they are so addictive. The books are delightfully gripping with plenty of suspense, drama, romance and downright horror in places. Charlaine has come up with some brilliant ideas, thought them through and made them very convincing. Yes they are a bit sexy too but I didn't find that offensive or over the top.

Johanna Parker reads them so very well! Fabulous Books!! In fact so good that I'm struggling to find anything else to read now.
