The authors amaze me with how they blend together humour, spice and emotions and leave us panting and going WTF with their cliffhanger endings that leave me wishing for more right now, Damn it! and sigh I have to wait for the next instalment. When I’m asking myself, how can I wait 🥹, then I remember these ladies always deliver all they can in the end and I’m loving the journey there!
So much more is revealed in this book. Emotions are high and the heat is exponentially higher. Hells bells the boys are talking about sharing River if it’s what will keep her happy. Can I wave my flag here and say choose me boys☺️
I’m always amazed and blown away by the narration in any audio book done by these gals. The choice of narrators is always amazing. Making a gal want to crawl inside the book and be a character (or the main female character 🤪) Makes me want a ride ‘em cowboy or three all of my own. Swoon *
There were some heartbreaking moments that left me in tears but I also know that Kim and Meg Anne will show us a way where River can be saved. It’s just so hard to wait for the next book to see if everyone is okay and will they save their girl.

🎧📚🎧 For the exceptional narration and fabulous line-up of talent, Stella Hunter, Jason Clarke, Aaron Sherlock, and J.F. Harding continue to bring the characters to life with their outstanding performances. Their character voices have been consistent and I loved how each one took their roles and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I pictured the characters to sound. They continue to set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters' emotions and have you feeling them all. These entertaining storytellers enhance an already brilliant story to another level. Thank you for another amazing listen.

They now find themselves trying to adjust to the news and that includes trying to make peace with the past as well as dealing with their complicated feelings for each other as well as escalating danger they find themselves in.
This story has it all from the hot chemistry, the captivating characters, the suspense and the emotional pull will lead to a cliff-hanger that leaves you wanting more. The narration of this story is superb, and it only makes the story even better.

It starts with a bang, the same bang that ended the previous book: all this time, River has been married to Cross. Unknowingly. Of course it puts a damper on Walker and Bishop pursuing her. But it also affects her relationship with Cross. At the moment, they pretend they hate each other–when in fact they’re keeping each other at arm’s length, afraid of hurting or being hurt. This new development forces them into a long overdue conversation.
But not right away. Honesty isn’t in the cards for any of them at first. But this is the book of confessions. Of secrets being revealed. Be it the business side of the Cross ranch, or feelings, River discovers a lot of things, and the reader a few too.
This is also the book of sharing. River admitted to herself that she was attracted to–and had some fun times with–the three men in her life in the previous book. Now it’s time for them to acknowledge that they won’t be able to keep her to themselves. This part was interesting. None of them are even remotely put off by sharing their woman, sometimes at the same time. They recognize the sacrifices they’re willing to make to have her, and consider her needs and wants. That may be when the love story takes off. It isn’t just lust after all.
As for the suspense side of the story, a lot happens too. The big villain launches an attack and it isn’t pretty. We see some connections between past and present. And it ends the book on another intense cliffhanger.
There’s still some humor in there, with Walker written as the comic relief. It adds some levity to a pretty heavy story. The spice helps too–it isn’t just the weather that makes it hot in here.
The narration is still great. I especially enjoyed how Cross’s narrator made the difference between young Cross and older Cross. There are way more characters–and some not so secondary–than there are narrators, and it can become confusing at times. I can’t wait for the next book.
The plot thickens
