Summary

The newest gut-wrenching high-stakes thriller of covert operations by Andrews & Wilson - the Wall Street Journal best-selling authors of Tier One.

After a surprise assault on Task Force Ember’s secret compound in Virginia by Russian covert operators, John Dempsey and his teammates are mourning their dead and trying to put the pieces back together. But in the ever-evolving world of shadow warfare, there is no respite for heroes or victims. Russian spymaster Arkady Zhukov, the mind behind the attack on Ember, is at it again - directing false flag operations to destabilize Ukraine and enable Russia to seize control of the Black Sea.

The American president designates Arkady and his Zetas a clear and present danger to the United States. Dempsey and his team are tasked to systematically eliminate each and every Zeta agent around the globe. But when American and Russian covert operations collide in Kiev, the “new Cold War” goes from a simmer to a boil. Escalation ensues, bringing America and her allies to the brink of world war. Unless Dempsey and Task Force Ember can derail Russia’s secret plans, the collateral damage could bring the world to its knees.

Collateral is the sixth installment of the Tier One series - the highest-rated, most authentic pulse-pounding covert-operations thriller series on the market today. Tier One follows the life and operations of former Navy SEAL John Dempsey and Task Force Ember and is written by the WSJ, Audible, and Amazon best-selling coauthor team Andrews & Wilson. Perfect for fans of Tom Clancy, WEB Griffin, Robert Ludlum, Mark Greaney, Brad Thor, Jack Carr, and Tim Tigner.

Love the series and the characters. Every book is a great story on its own but the bigger story flows well through the series. The narrator personifies the characters and their intent well so your imagination can see the story and it's characters unfold clearly. Looking forward to the next. Hooyah!

The next great installment

Another great instalment of this series. I love the characters, the geopolitics, the spy craft, and the tier one missions. A wonderful all round story. Great job guys.

Action, politics, and intrigue

This book evolved well, the longer I went into it the harder it became to take a break, there are some really good action sections. This book was included in my membership so its introduced me to these authors and I've listened to a couple more books now and they have been very good. I'm invested in the main characters now, I hope the series continues

Well worth a listen

Felt very poignant when listened to in 2023. The action is genuinely thrilling in places and just about believable. The geopolitics is clearly on the money! Enjoying this series.

On the money geopolitics with Hollywood action

Ray Porter does a good job. Clear diction and distinct voices.

There are so many "elite" unit books on the go. It's a great wonder they don't wipe each other out. This one is mildly amusing. Not always intentionally. But compared to some of the pulp trash it is quite good.

The plot is a bit silly but aren't they all. The authors write decent characters and dialogue that hide the holes. OK if you have a spare credit or it is included

Amusing spy caper
